Friends and Family….

We, the women of Richard’s Team, have committed to walk/run the Nike Women’s Marathon (1/2 marathon) in San Francisco on October 19th, 2008 as ambassadors for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We are proud participants of the Alabama / Gulf Coast Chapter Team in Training.

To help us cross the finish line, we have joined TNT. Not only do they provide us with a great four month training program, but they are part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a non-profit health organization dedicated entirely to finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma.

Our inspiration for this quest is the story of our friend and family member Richard Arp, who just one year ago was diagnosed with Leukemia. His relentless strength, perseverance, and amazing resilience is our motivation to push ourselves beyond our normal physical boundaries and to make this commitment.

Over the next six months, we will be training and fundraising.
